VPN (Virtual Private Network)

A Virtual Private Network (VPN) is a private network that extends across a public network and enables users to send and receive data across shared or public networks as if their computing devices were directly connected to the private network. It is a connection method used to add security and privacy to private and public networks, like WiFi Hotspots and the Internet. VPNs are most often used by corporations to protect sensitive data.
